(More customer reviews)I bought the Compac S2022a monitor to enhance the use of an ASUS netbook and found it to satisfy the requirement. Generally, the netbook becomes tiresome to use for long hours otherwise because of the small screen. I'm a consultant love the small size of the netbook when on the road and the new monitor works well when at home office. Ten minutes after loading the driver it was on, in perfect adjustment. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and I've found it to be color accurate with good contrast but only fair speakers. It remains a great value, under $140.

One of the nice features is that it automatically shuts off when I either unplug or shut down the netbook. Also, the adjustment buttons are front and center under the screen and simple to manipulate and set.

I think it's optimum for general use as a CRT replacement or to improve the video of an old laptop or netbook.
